When Marshal Sam Waters returned to Lonesome Texas with his new wife, he was hoping for a nice and easy life in his small town. But the town was growing, and along with growth, sometimes comes corruption. Sam’s relationship with the Mayor was strained, and something crooked was happening in the county. Being the lawman that he was, Sam had to find out what it was and make things right. True, he was only a Town Marshal and had no authority outside of town, but a minor thing like that will not stop him.

Maybe Sam could run for County Sheriff. Better yet, maybe he could get an appointment to U.S. Marshal. His good friend U.S. Marshal Sean O’Rourke could recommend him to the Federal Judge and Sam would then have the power and authority to subdue those involved in the corruption and bring peace to the area.
